The Pains of Being Pure at Heart live in Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia & Malaysia

The world can never have enough indiepop-rock bands such as The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. With their simple, catchy, upbeat tunes and happy-go-lucky attitude, it’s no wonder they are in such demand to perform all over the world. The Pains will be making stops in our region following their stint at Australia’s Laneway Festival, this February-March 2011.

You can expect that typically sumptuous vintage pop-rock sound with The Pains. The vocals are light and very much reverbed, accompanied by simple chords and drumbeats alongside the occasional teasing fuzzy guitar riff. In other words their upbeat tunes are easy to digest. The band released their debut independent album back in 2009, and released their latest, Belong, in 2011, to the positive critique of many.

The Pains will be doing quite an extensive tour of South East Asia, and will be performing live in Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia at the end of February and beginning of March 2012. More details are expected to be announced soon.
